Melisande (Mélisande Gélinas-Fauteux) is one of the strong female forces in the Quebecois music scene. With roots from Boloeil Quebec, her early works were an “electrotrad” style of traditional Quebecois music. Recently she revisited her repertoire with an acoustic quintet. She has an infectious energy and stage presence that encourages the audience to dance and sing! The band featuring Genticorum veteran (and husband) Alexandre "Moulin" de Grosbois-Garand adds strong vocal harmonies accompanied by a variety of amplified acoustic instruments and percussions. Melisande is on tour to promote their forthcoming album Sur la Meme Longueur D’onde. This tour will feature the electrotrad quartet as well as the acoustic quintet.
