If you have been to the Festival on-the-Green, you know that it is a unique, fun, family-friendly, multi-cultural week of 17 live “acts” spanning a broad range of musical and performance genres. From Celtic to jazz, bluegrass, gospel, alternative sounds and swing in the evenings to noon-time magic, juggling and puppetry … all presented on the Middlebury Green, and all are free!
The Festival takes pride in bringing a broad range of excellent talent to our stage. We are proud that Festival 2011 will be our 33rd year of providing this wide array of superior free entertainment. This year, more than ever, we need your financial contributions to make it happen. We budget $38,575 for the week-long program, two-thirds of which covers performer fees. The balance is allocated toward sound, lighting, insurance, tent maintenance, and other expenses.
We believe Festival on-the-Green is a wonderful event that not only enriches and entertains us but also strengthens the bonds of our community. Please give as generously as you are able. “Pass the Bucket” collections during Festival week, while helpful, only bring in only 10% of what we need!
Rest assured that 100% of your contribution underwrites production and programming as all of us working on the Festival are volunteers.
The Festival on-the-Green is a 501(c)(3) organization and your contribution is tax deductible.
