Maiden Vermont, Central Vermont’s Women’s Barbershop Group, began in 2004 with 20 women’s voices and has grown to more than 50 voices in 2008. Under the direction of Ripton resident Lindi Bortney, the group’s repertoire includes barbershop, doo-wop, and other a capella music. Town Hall Theater Executive Director Doug Anderson who has hosted the group many times raves, “You could listen to them for hours, but it’s also wonderful to look at them because their choreography is delightful—sharp, creative, and laugh-out-loud funny.” |
